Born August 15th 1960 to Cindy and William. Passed away June 5th 2001.
Rand was the first child of our six a position, which he did not take lightly. Rand was a great brother to us all and a wonderful son to our mother. We have been a very close family and growing up he filled our house will the sound of music from the piano, often if was Billy Joel that he chose to play because he loved his music. Rand went on a mission to WashingtonD.C. a great joy for him he was able to share the gospel in a place he loved so greatly. One of the reasons Rand loved WashingtonD.C. is because of the rich history it has in politics. Rand loved his country very much, and he shared his love with the family. We had many family discussions concerning politics and government. I believe that is where he gained his love of cherry trees.
Rand got married and had four amazing children. Rand was a wonderful father and great to watch with his kids. He loved to teach his children things and see their faces when they understood what he was teaching them. Rand and his wife loved dogs and had two large Doberman pincers that were so sweet with the children when they came. I loved watching the dogs so patiently sit and let the little girls pin bows to their collars until the kids were tired and then they would walk away and shake until they got them off. Rand loved to just have his baby lie on his chest or just be by him.
Rand loved to play jokes on us and we had a great time playing games together as a family. If we were having issues with another sibling Rand was usually the best to help resolve it due to his calm demeanor and diplomatic communication. Rand was a very caring and supportive son, he would call my mother very Halloween because that was a very horrible day for her. He always was thinking of others, he let us know that he loved us always.
We miss Rand more then we could express. Our family has a chasm that cannot be filled. We have had people married into our family and two new babies born as well but somehow we still seem smaller without Rand.
